Summer Silence
A guided meditation, TPUUF, 7/17/93; Revised 10/31/93
Relax; wiggle your fingers, spread your toes. Welcome the midmorning hush: Listen for the dragonfly in flight, the bee at the flower, the lizard in the grass. It is summer: the fast urgent sap rise of spring is past, the young green leaves have darkened into their maturity. Come, wait awhile, here amongst the trees. Light airs move, leaves jostle, under summer sun, the sun, always the sun. The summer simmers. Wait Listen, listen, listen.... |
